Wine of The Week, February 1
Grange des Rouquette $11.99/750 ml 10% off on Tuesday!
Fruitful and crisp, this Marsanne/Viognier blend brings elegance and restraint most Viognier fans probably aren't familiar with. Delicate peach and tropical flavors are checked by bright acidity and a touch of white pepper. Try this if you're into Pinot Grigio and softer Sauvignon Blancs or to pair with those "New Year's Resolution" salads.                                                                                             —Armin

Beer of the Month, February
Goose Island "Matilda"  $9.99/4 pk 10% off on Tuesdays!
American-made "Belgian-style" ales that show any kinship to the beers that inspired them (or that are of quality, for that matter) are very rare. This is one of those rare exceptions. Toasty, and spicy on the nose with apricot, orange peel and allspice flavors in a chewy, bready body are exactly what I expect of Belgium...not Illinois.                                                                                               —Armin

Spirit of the Month, February
Amarula Cream Liqueur $17.99/750 ml
10% off on Tuesdays!
Cream liqueurs are being made with everything these days, but this South African classic remains my favorite. One would expect "fruity" but that is not the case as the spirit base for this is made from a "wine" made of fermented Marula fruit which is then distilled and then aged in oak barrels for two years and then blended with cream creating a flavor that is more toasty toffee and caramel. Smoother than Bailey's, too.
